Join our hospital nursing team today./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Indianapolis, IN 46237 — Indianapolis healthcare / Indiana nursing jobs/n - Unit: 6 West Ortho/Neuro (Ortho & Neuro acute care)/n - Setting: 34-bed acute care unit/n - Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN job/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800-$1890/week/n - Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour days)/n - Shifts per Week: 3 (36 hours/week guaranteed)/n - Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend/n - Duration: 13 weeks/n - Start Date: ASAP/n - Patient Ratio: ~1:4.5/n - Scrub Color: Navy Blue/n - EMR: Epic (hospital nursing / clinical documentation)/n /n/nRequired Qualifications — Med/Surg RN / Ortho/Neuro RN/n /n - Active RN license (valid in assignment state)/n - Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience (Med/Surg, Ortho, or Neuro preferred)/n - Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)/n - NIHSS certification/n - Comfortable floating to other units as needed/n - Proven team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills/n - Experience with Epic EMR and common hospital equipment preferred/n /n/nResponsibilities — Med/Surg / Ortho/Neuro Nursing Duties/n /n - Deliver high-quality nursing care for orthopedic and neurological patients, including stroke, seizures, MS exacerbations, hip fractures, post-op spine cases, hip/knee replacements, craniectomy care, and med/surg overflow/n - Perform ongoing patient assessment, monitor vital signs, and intervene appropriately for changes in condition/n - Administer medications, manage IV infusions, and document all care accurately in Epic EMR/n - Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans/n - Use unit technology and supplies including Pyxis medication systems, Alaris infusion pumps, and Novoglucometers/n - Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment for patients and staff; adhere to facility policies and dress code (navy blue scrubs; no nose rings or hoodies)/n /n/nWhy This Travel Nurse Opportunity/n /n - Travel RN role in a stable, well-supported hospital environment — great for Med/Surg and Ortho/Neuro RNs looking for travel nursing jobs/n - Hands-on acute care experience with Epic EMR — strengthens clinical and documentation skills/n - Opportunity to work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team in Indianapolis, IN (central Indiana healthcare hub)/n /n/n Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
