Provides financial support to academic departments, institutes and
the Dean's Office. Serves as a primary delegate to process, review,
and approve financial documents, including IU and IU Foundation
payments and reimbursements, disbursement vouchers, and travel for
faculty and staff. Audits receipts and invoices. Calculates costs
verifying available funding in accounts. Responsible for providing
budgetary assistance and financial forecasting to department heads.
Monitors budgets across multiple accounts. Provides analyzed data
and resolves reimbursement inquires and accounting and budget
issues. Provides analyzed data to the Dean's Office and department
heads for budget preparation and year-end closing.
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of accounting
and/or budget experience.
Knowledge of accounting and budget standard procedures. Proficient
in spreadsheets and word processing. Ability to analyze financial
data and perform accurate math calculations in a timely manner.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Associate or Bachelor's degree and knowledge of IU systems, KFS,
Chrome River and BUY.IU.
