With locations in Birmingham, Atlanta, Austin, TX and soon to be Columbus, OH, we serve both national and multinational enterprises with an array of audit, tax, valuation, SSAE -16/SOC1 (formerly SAS 70), SOC2 -and litigation support and comprehensive consulting services. Essential Functions: - Contribute to the Firm's recruitment, education, development and staff retention efforts - Acquire, develop, and retain clients - Develop new outside business and develop internal business from current clients - Serve as a leader within and outside of the firm - Actively deliver timely billing and collection - Control feeds, change orders and profits - Control delivery dates for info from clients - Meet and exceed due dates set internally and by clients - Provide expansion of business - Increase profit percentage annually - Deliver sound, complete, and thorough business judgement in servicing clients and protecting the firm - Provide tax consulting services to the firm's clients - Provide the capacity to manage production and delivery including client, managers, staff and administration orderly - Develop and disseminate articles - Participate in speaking engagements to expand the firm's presence - Complete evaluations timely, effectively and accurately, providing individual growth and protection to the firm - Effectively utilize and deploy timely team talent and allocation of resources - Drive and teach to drive bottom line results. - Delegate effectively and evaluate the performance of others - Train, grow, and develop departments across all locations by promoting the firm, increasing firm profitability, training and developing staff - Set clear deadlines and priorities for staff that you manage - Manage workload to ensure an equitable and level assignment of work - Be available for and responsive to questions while work is in process - Follow-up on assignments and hold others accountable for internal deadlines and administrative responsibilities - Complete reviews of work in a timely manner to keep engagements on track - Provide technical expertise that is recognized both in and outside the firm Team Relationship Expectations: - Demonstrate integrity, ethical decision-making and behaviors that build trust across teams and with clients - Create an environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, inclusion and challenges traditional approaches Desired Skills and Experience: - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting - Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant public accounting experience - Strong working knowledge of state and local jurisdictional tax planning, consulting, and compliance work - Real-estate experience, specifically in the affordable housing area, is a plus Tidwell Group is proud to have an engaged and inclusive culture to promote and ensure equal employment opportunity in all employment decisions without regard to age, race, color, gender, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, military status, veteran status or any other legally protected status.
