This role is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in medical billing, claims, EOB review, mental health, and behavioral health in a remote setting. You will be integral in ensuring the financial health of our organization by managing collections and receivables, analyzing and resolving billing issues, and improving our overall revenue cycle. If you are passionate about healthcare, have a keen eye for detail, and possess a strong understanding of medical collection processes, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities: 1. Manage the entire collections process, including submitting and following up on claims, reviewing EOBs, and resolving any discrepancies or issues. 2. Leverage your understanding of mental and behavioral health to effectively communicate with patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers. 3. Utilize command-line tools (cmd) to efficiently manage and analyze data. 4. Collaborate with our team to develop and implement strategies for improving the billing and collections process. 5. Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism and empathy when dealing with sensitive financial matters. 6. Stay up-to-date with current regulations, industry standards, and best practices in medical billing and collections. 7. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in all billing activities. 8. Assist in training staff on effective collection techniques and strategies. Qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and collections, specifically within the healthcare industry. 2. Proven experience with command-line tools (cmd), mental health, behavioral health, claims, and EOB review. 3. Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and the healthcare revenue cycle. 4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify billing errors and resolve financial discrepancies. 5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information. 6. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical billing software. 7. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. 8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment. 9. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. 10. Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
