Medical/Dental/Vision Generous PTO Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and highly analytical individual to join our team as a Cost Accountant. This pivotal role will be instrumental in the financial health and future growth of our company within the Engineering industry. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in Manufacturing Accounting, General Ledger (GL), ERP Implementation, and Monthly Reporting. If you have a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for identifying cost-saving opportunities, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the entire cost accounting function including manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting, and cost analysis. Implement and maintain robust cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the ERP system. Conduct regular GL reconciliations and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze manufacturing processes and costs to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with standard procedures and regulations. Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets. Provide financial expertise and insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be considered an asset. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the Engineering or Manufacturing industry. Proficient in Manufacturing Accounting, GL, ERP Implementation, and Monthly Reporting. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, practices, and standards. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. Proficient in ERP systems and other accounting software. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and other MS Office applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
