The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our Engineering industry, providing critical financial insight to help shape our business decisions. This role is more than just crunching numbers - it's about understanding our operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting our management team in making strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting and finance, with a particular focus on ERP implementation and monthly reporting. Responsibilities: Develop and implement cost standards for materials and labor. Prepare detailed reports on the costs of business activities, including periodic financial and expense reports. Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program. Analyze production costs and recommend changes. Oversee the ERP implementation process, ensuring all financial aspects are accurately represented and effectively integrated. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior management, providing clear and concise insight into cost trends and projections. Collaborate with various teams (production, procurement, design, etc.) to analyze costs and streamline procedures. Participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, integrating detailed cost data to provide more accurate financial projections. Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses. Review and reconcile inventory and margin reports. Investigate and report to the Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties. Analyze data collected and recording results. Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures. Analyze audits of costs and prepare reports. Make estimates of new and proposed product costs. Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting in an industrial setting, preferably in the Engineering industry. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly desirable. Strong experience with ERP systems, including implementation and management. Proven experience in preparing monthly reports and financial analysis. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about business problems. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to write and implement financial policies and procedures. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating a sense of urgency and results orientation.
