Hills Credit Union, our mission is to improve the financial lives
of our members and the communities we serve. The Senior Vice
President (SVP) of Marketing and Brand Strategy plays a key role in
this mission by developing and delivering our branding, product and
service-based messaging to our members and perspective members.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of
the Credit Union's branding, marketing, and communications
strategies that aim to acquire new members as well as deepen
relationships and maintain high levels of engagement and loyalty
among our 30,000+ current members. Key Responsibilities Member and
Mission focus -
- Further our mission by acting as the voice of the member
- Lead collaborator in member experience and journey-mapping
strategy and implementation, building brand experiences and driving
business growth with each strategic initiative
- Organize, attend, and support corporate and industry events and
other community outreach efforts and promote HHCU's culture of
community involvement and advocacy Senior Leadership
- Empower Brand Strategy team(s) by continuously defining and
expanding role responsibilities, creating goals and defining
measures for success
- Lead, activate and inspire project teams with clarity of our
brand and mission
- Network and influence across the organization and with all
external stakeholders to prioritize and gather insight
- Contribute to a high-performing senior management team driving
accountability and capability of brand management and continued
development Brand Management
- Leverage marketing strategy, brand and campaign operations to
deliver results and orchestrate roadmaps
- Advancement of digital marketing presence, digital platforms
and solutions
- Create an optimal marketing mix based on business goals
- Manage member outreach, community engagement, and philanthropy
efforts Creative Communication Design
- Promote our brand and member experience with compelling
storytelling to engage target audiences
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive omni-channel communication
strategy
- Further company mission and employment culture with a constant
stream of creative illustrations and touchpoints Market
Intelligence and Competitive Analysis
- Gather and analyze current and prospective member data to
determine the most valuable opportunities to improve brand
performance
- Leverage marketing and data management and reporting staff to
synthesize multiple data sources into identifiable opportunities
and actionable intelligence
- Business Intelligence - Utilize available resources (people &
systems) to uncover, extract, blend, interpret and align diverse
data sets from systems and relational resources (CRM, MCIF, SQL) to
gain insights and present conclusions for courses of action
- Data verification: report, flag and monitor data quality to
ensure confidence and accuracy used for analysis Business
Development and Product Management
- Lead collaborative efforts with functional teams to uncover and
implement business solutions that aim to grow the membership,
increase wallet share, and deliver the right products and services
at the right time to the right members
- Collaborate with sales leaders and teams for business
development opportunities and to develop metrics, dashboards and
KPIs to measure success and create improvement strategies
- Collaborate with senior management and innovation teams to
develop product portfolio evolution based on relevant data,
emerging trends, and business goals PM19 SVP Marketing and Brand
Strategy Knowledge Requirements
- Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential to
deal courteously and effectively with a diverse group of staff,
members, and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and develop others
and to motivate staff to achieve sales and service goals. Must
possess ability to influence others both internally and externally
and serve as an ambassador of the Credit Union, it's mission,
services, and institutional value.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects that
are complex and multi-staged in nature. Expert material
presentation skills required.
- Intensive fact-finding, resourcefulness and creativity is
necessary to provide solutions for continual innovation of products
and service delivery models, membership growth, and revenue
generation. The ability to solve major, complex problems.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Well-developed analytical, project implementation and
supervisory skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working
relationships with management, peers, employees and vendors, and
the ability to effectively resolve conflict.
- Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and
concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
- Must be skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
Outlook. SVP Marketing and Brand Strategy Education and/or
Experience
- BA required, MBA Preferred
- 10+ years' experience in branding, marketing, communications
and/or product development
- Experience in a financial institution setting preferred. Work
Environment/Physical Demands
- Normal accessibility of branch and corporate work sites
required for the position
- Normal physical mobility and agility, which includes movement
from place to place on the job, and the ability to maneuver body
while in place
- Normal dexterity of hands and fingers
- Normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot
- Works in typical administrative setting with climate control
and appropriate lighting
- Work requires occasionally lifting and carrying up to 30
