Position Brand Description: This position provides leadership and guidance to skilled trades personnel, whilst supporting the maintenance leader and planner/scheduler as required. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive work plans, scheduling assignments for high voltage electricians and instrument technicians, and facilitating coordination of electrical outages with site stakeholders. This position is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and maintaining LTC utility systems, including electrical systems, high purity water, compressed air, steam, chilled water, glycol, city water, and sewer. The role requires adherence to established quality standards and the delivery of exceptional customer service to support equipment and facility maintenance. The incumbent must consistently meet quality requirements and demonstrate effective customer service skills to ensure optimal performance and reliability of all utility equipment and facilities. Key Objectives/Deliverables: Adhere to all HSE standards, support departmental plans, and participate in safety initiatives. Coordinates electrical outages throughout the site to meet both internal and external customer needs, while reducing downtime in manufacturing areas. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility equipment, including both high and low voltage electrical gear such as 13.2 KV main switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, and motor starters. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as calibration, of process instrumentation (including temperature, pressure, flow, pH, conductivity, TOC, and control valves). Updates/create ESI’s using one-lines and or schematics, implement MAP’s (maintenance action plans), switching plans, job plans and shutdown planning. Execution of annual electrical self-assessments Coordinates contractor electrical activities for Utilities Develops training, train others on new technologies, processes, and technical data. Engage in process team initiatives. Monitors GMARS backlog and plans/schedules for high voltage electricians. Update GMARS data, PM requirements, Job Plans and spare parts as needed. Walk down jobs, create, and improve Job/Work Plans Assign appropriate craftsperson or arrange for a contractor to perform the job. When appropriate, assist craftspeople and engineers in troubleshooting equipment/systems to determine problems and the corrective action required. Basic Requirements: Applicants must possess at least three years of experience in LTC Utilities Electrical aptitude is required Experience working in high purity water, compressed air, steam, chilled water, glycol, city water, and sewer systems. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license. Willingness to respond to call-ins and work scheduled overtime. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is required. Must be able to tolerate exposure to varying temperatures while performing duties outdoors in both winter and summer conditions. Proficient in the use of CMMS (e.g., Maximo) or similar work order tracking systems. Additional Preferences: Associate’s degree or Technical Certificate in an electrical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Maintenance experience within an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment is required. Ability to accurately follow written procedures during maintenance tasks. Strong documentation skills and effective verbal and written communication abilities. Capable of reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Other Information: This position is scheduled for 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Temporary shift changes may occur. Hazardous operations within Utilities include exposure to acid, steam, caustic substances, high pressure, and high temperatures. Work involves awkward positions, cramped quarters, ladders, and scaffolding. Employment requires working during summer and year-end company breaks. The anticipated wage for this position is $33.89 - $49.71 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
