KPIT (www.kpit.com) is looking for a OBD Engineer to work with a leading manufacturing OEM that services engines and related equipment, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission control, electrical power generation systems, and trucks. This role involves, significant participation in engine controls, calibration, validation, and verification on embedded software.
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for calibration tuning, verification and validation tests, and documenting and analyzing the results on embedded software controls.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting issues and tuning of different features and diagnostics calibrations.
  • Responsible for tuning OBD calibrations.
  • Good Knowledge of MATLAB Simulink for understanding Controls software and running Simulations using Field or Test Cell data.
  • Find software issues from the field data analysis and submit software change requests and validate the updated software.
  • Create and maintain tuning procedures for group components.
  • Run FMET(s) (Failure Modes Effects Tests) on bench and vehicles.
  • Perform testing on benches, test cells, and vehicles to assure the systems software is functioning properly and/or to duplicate problems found by customers.Domain:
    • Knowledge of automotive controls/calibration will be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of Diesel Engines, After-treatment Emissions.
