• Provide leadership and support to the Bloomington plant s production, engineering, and maintenance teams
• Coordinate the needed resources and activities for all controls related work at the plant.
• Act as the technical link between production, maintenance and engineering and as the subject matter expert on controls and automation support to the facility
• Lead a continuous improvement initiative to identify & implement changes meant to increase equipment reliability, mitigate errors, simplify processes, and increase overall performance of the plant.
• Develop and apply innovative and creative methods to solve routine and chronic issuesKey attributes for a qualified candidate include:
  • Skilled with PLC code and HMI development software
  • Displays strong technical expertise in troubleshooting automated systems
  • Creative problem solver with a hands-on mindset
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing tasks, managing project timelines and budgets
  • Requires minimal guidance and is considered a self-starter
  • Promotes a Team Culture by supporting the work of other engineers and departmentsJob Requirements (Education, Experience and Qualifications):
    • Bachelor degree in Engineering
    • 1-3 years automation experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA programming and instrumentation (primarily Allen Bradley & Siemens with ladder logic, block, and structured text)
    • Project management experience
    • Pharmaceutical experience including aseptic manufacturing is preferred
    • Prior experience in Lean principles, VIPs, Standard Work, 5S/6S is preferred
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to use enterprise software (examples include: JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, etc.)Physical / Safety Requirements:
      • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
      • Duties will require occasional overtime work, including nights and weekends
      • Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required
      • Position requires sitting or standing for long hours
