Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support to the Bloomington plant s
production, engineering, and maintenance teams
- Coordinate the needed resources and activities for all controls
related work at the plant.
- Act as the technical link between production, maintenance and
engineering and as the subject matter expert on controls and
automation support to the facility
- Lead a continuous improvement initiative to identify &
implement changes meant to increase equipment reliability, mitigate
errors, simplify processes, and increase overall performance of the
plant.
- Develop and apply innovative and creative methods to solve
routine and chronic issuesKey attributes for a qualified candidate
include:
- Skilled with PLC code and HMI development software
- Displays strong technical expertise in troubleshooting
automated systems
- Creative problem solver with a hands-on mindset
- Capable of multitasking, prioritizing tasks, managing project
timelines and budgets
- Requires minimal guidance and is considered a self-starter
- Promotes a Team Culture by supporting the work of other
engineers and departmentsJob Requirements (Education, Experience
and Qualifications):
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- 1-3 years automation experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA programming
and instrumentation (primarily Allen Bradley & Siemens with ladder
logic, block, and structured text)
- Project management experience
- Pharmaceutical experience including aseptic manufacturing is
preferred
- Prior experience in Lean principles, VIPs, Standard Work, 5S/6S
is preferred
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and
the ability to use enterprise software (examples include: JDE,
BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, etc.)Physical / Safety Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Duties will require occasional overtime work, including nights
and weekends
- Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is
required
- Position requires sitting or standing for long hours
- Must be able to gown qualify for Cleanroom Grade A/B areas The
