Electronic Hardware Engineer

We have a position for an experienced PCB engineer to work on troubleshooting, requirements, and EMC testing.

Job Location: Local to Columbus, IN area and capable to travel into building depending on project needs, approximately 2-3 days in the office weekly.

What you will be doing:


  • Support integration work to develop a complete control system, including sensor and ECM development
  • Support electronic, electrical, and mechanical design integration of engine control system hardware that meet the needs for product platforms, applications and markets worldwide
  • Support root cause investigations on controls hardware component reliability and field test issues via a structured, data based process
  • Develop, apply, maintain, and improve hardware controls designs, including optimization and cost reduction
  • Document project activities and results in technical reports
  • Communicate changes by authoring engineering change documents
  • Follow product introduction processes for developing and releasing new products
  • Provide support for electronics and systems, including troubleshooting issues in the field and coordinating with suppliers to resolve product problems


    The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the following areas:


    • Printed Circuit Boards
    • Sensors
    • actuators
    • Wiring diagrams
    • Electronics background
    • Requirements gathering
    • Data Sheets
    • DFMEA creation
    • Industrial, marine or off-highway engine applications (ships, agricultural tractors, power generation etc.)

        What you'll need to be successful:


        • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.



          • Hardware (sensors, actuators, ECUs, harnessing) experience - required
          • Good communicator - written and verbal
          • An effective problem solver who is comfortable using analytical tools.
          • Eager to learn; ask questions
          • Self-motivated
          • Self-manage and communicate what they are working on and issues discovered
