life better for people around the world. The Sr. Specialist -
Engineering Technician maintains and troubleshoots packaging and
assembly equipment, including UV curing systems, vision systems,
laser marking stations, conveyors, robotics, and other
pharmaceutical machinery. This role is the first point of
escalation from maintenance mechanics and provides additional
engineering shift coverage. The position requires expertise in
production processes, equipment, and control system technologies.
The IDAP (Indy Device Assembly and Packaging) Engineering
Technician ensures equipment is qualified, operates safely, and
receives proper maintenance. Key Objectives / Deliverables Safety
and Environment: Maintain a safe work environment and support HSE
Corporate and Site Goals. Ensure procedures reflect safety concerns
and eliminate safety/quality issues. Participate in safety reviews
and audits. Operational Excellence: Perform activities according to
cGMPs and procedures. Initiate work orders for troubleshooting.
Mentor and train maintenance personnel. Escalate issues following
the escalation model. Understand production processes and critical
parameters. Improve quality and equipment reliability using
performance data. Ensure accurate job plans and update GMARS for
increased up time. Monitor equipment signals to enhance PM program
success. Develop repair part lists based on demand, lead-time,
costs, and risk. Support new asset/equipment design and delivery.
Develop setup and troubleshooting guides. Technical Support:
Investigate and resolve production delays. Transfer knowledge of
equipment capabilities to operators, engineering, and maintenance.
Implement tools for proficient learning and work. Education
Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Associate degree or
equivalent work experience. Minimum Requirements: 2 years of
manufacturing or technician experience Experience in automated
machine maintenance. Knowledge of safety requirements (LOTO, live
equipment troubleshooting). Ability to follow written procedures
during maintenance activities. Commitment to maintaining a safe
work environment and supporting HSE goals. Additional Preferences:
Journeyman trade or equivalent experience preferred. Experience in
regulated industries, especially FDA-regulated. Ability to perform
quality work independently. Proficiency in CMMS (e.g., Maximo),
Microsoft Word, and Excel. High-level customer service experience.
Ability to assist engineering functions. Experience with CMMS
(GMARS preferred). Other Information: 8-hour days, with after-hour
and weekend support as needed. Occasional travel for training,

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $31.37 - $52.28
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company
bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
