The Indirect Procurement and Process Manager will have a dual role in supporting the local direct and indirect procurement managers in delivering key initiatives as well as creating efficiencies in processing Indirect PO's for the entire site. In this role this individual will efficiently organize the team to prioritize and support the execution of a variety of projects that support the business including cost savings, cash preservation, negotiations, process and policy development and a variety of other procurement projects to support the overall business objectives that will deliver value to Catalent. This individual will continuously identify areas where Indirect PO processing should be improved through a robust short, mid, and long term action plan leveraging lean and digital solutions.

This position is responsible for supporting the direct and indirect teams at the site. Although this position is within Global Procurement, they will work closely with various cross functional teams to implement cost savings, manage projects, and assign procurement process buyers to support the Procurement Managers.

This is a fulltime salaried onsite position. The shift is Monday- Friday, days

The Role

• Define with the Site Managers a list of projects that will be supported based on clear prioritization criteria.
• Define and review individual assignments (performance and workload) in collaboration with the Site Procurement Managers and stakeholders to ensure proper alignment with expectation and monthly/yearly project coverage plan.
• Act as the Site Procurement Process leader to support spend report analysis, cost reduction opportunities, supply risk assessments, supplier performance management for major vendors.
• Ensure that the Global Procurement Savings Tracker (GPST) is updated and is accurate.
• Support projects in close collaboration with local teams and Global Procurement for supplier selection, negotiation, and contract implementation.
• Support contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with contracts developed locally or globally.
• Identify and implement short, mid and long term plans to simplify Indirect Purchase Order processing by using lean principals and digitalization (e-catalogs, P-card, and Tail spend management.
• Train others at the site on various processes and procedures related within Procurement.
• Develop and enhance local procurement processes and procedures.
• Interact and communicate with stakeholders to ensure expectations are established, agreed to, and achieved.
  
  The Candidate
  
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in business, finance, engineering, sciences, purchasing, or other operations field is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of procurement and/or project management experience, and managerial experience including global operations, finance and matrix management experience.
  • Effectively communicates Procurement vision and expectations across site
  • Functions as a strong Procurement liaison to other functional department, providing meaningful quality support and ensuring productive cross-functional communication
