Manager role is based in Mitchell, IN, and reports directly to the
Electrical Maintenance Manager. Heidelberg Materials provides the

with approximately 9,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada. This
position will guide the electrical department in the repair,
maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical,
instrumentation, and control systems including process problem
solving and measurement activities that enable continuous plant
operations. This position is responsible for a large and unique
operation and has a lot to offer a motivated candidate in terms of
challenges, experience, and potential future growth. What youll get
to do Ensure the operational viability of the plant by evaluating
and maintaining the proper functioning of all electrical,
instrumentation, and control systems. Participate in design and
implementation automation engineering projects to meet
plant-specific needs in a quality, timely and cost-effective
manner. Provide technical assistance for electricians for process
control equipment and troubleshooting of automation and process
control problems. Responsible for all environmental instrumentation
problems and compliance. Responsible for power system issues and/or
assisting in issues with power at the plant Provide engineering
support for process control systems with a focus on minimizing
critical production and operational downtime resulting from
automation and control system issues Involvement with process
instrumentation and automation equipment specifying and selecting
control equipment to maximize automation efforts Coordinates with
the Maintenance Manager by communicating anticipated jobs and
outages. Maintains proper documentation of electrical,
instrumentation, and automation systems and keeps files up to date
including Process Instrumentation Diagrams, block diagrams,
drawings, database management, etc. Participate in the design of
systems requiring control, instrumentation, PLC 5 software, Control
Logic, and hardware, and Profibus network communications to achieve
plant or project goals Ensure optimum operation and reliability for
electrical power systems and process control systems Participate in
plant projects and shutdowns with overall large capital projects
directed by HTC personnel Ability to learn Industar, Pi, and
develop required changes with PLC Logic Assist in the coordination
and implementation of process control system upgrades and changes
to maximize plant efficiency Draft process control system design
packages to support plant and project objectives Participate in
equipment and system analysis to identify areas for cost reductions
Participate in training and development of operations and
maintenance personnel to ensure the skill sets necessary to perform
the required work are available Promote safe work habits and a safe
work environment Follow and enforce all company policies and safety
procedures Support and consult plant management in the field of
automation engineering for optimization of a plant operation,
responsibility for keeping records, updated technical
documentation, and drawings created by CAD systems Troubleshooting
and diagnosis of plant system problems to minimize disruptions to
plant operations Provide ongoing automation support to the plant
for all shifts by participating in the plant's on-call program.
This includes evaluating and determining the course of action for
automation incidents after hours and on weekends while on call and
may require on-site supervision of the resolution to maintain
operational efficiency. Support the implementation of HTC
Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process Control Concepts for all
plant projects Support for all Plant IT and liaise with Corporate
IT departments Essential Experience and Skills Bachelors degree in
engineering or applicable experience is required Experience in
providing support for cement manufacturing is preferred Minimum 5
years of experience in other industries mastered skill set in
programming, instrumentation, power systems, and troubleshooting
control is preferred Demonstrated experience in leadership and
project management, problem solving and creativity, strategic
thinking, and decision making Proficient with MS Office (including
MS Visio) and AutoCAD Demonstrated experience with PLC, HMI and
SCADA architecture and programming Demonstrated experience with
industrial control system software and hardware. Experience with
Siemens PCS7/WinCC CEMAT software and Siemens S7-400 PLC hardware
is preferred. Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining
VMware virtual environments Demonstrated experience troubleshooting
and maintaining industrial control networks, and implementing
network security practices Demonstrated experience with OPC DA
servers, clients and tunnellers Working knowledge of industrial
control systems backup and recovery practices Familiarity with
digitalization, artificial intelligence, data historians, and
expert systems Demonstrated experience with power metering,
instrumentation, gas analyzers, control devices, motor control
centers, switchgear, variable frequency drives, and control panel
design and engineering. Fluent with NEC, NFPA, ISA, etc.
Understanding of contractual matters (negotiation and legal
aspects) Willingness to travel within local EBU or Region Ability
to perform tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working
within confined space, and occasionally lifting to 50 lbs. Work
Environment Role operates in a manufacturing environment with
moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity,
