Job Description:
Be a part of the men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges! General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Strategic Project Manager to support the Navy Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana .
The Project Manager provides IT Enterprise Strategy support providing project management, business relationship management, roadmap execution and service delivery of NSWC Crane IT initiatives.
You will also provide Information Technology (IT) Chief Strategist project management support for the development, monitoring, and implementation of projects prioritized and designed by and in support of the NSWC Crane IT Enterprise (ITD) Strategy.
You will work closely with the IT Chief Strategist to:

• 
  Track and assist in each phase of IT Enterprise Strategy (or roadmap) projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing . Review status of projects, track schedules and prepare status reports.
  
  
• 
  Provide regular (daily, weekly, or monthly) briefs based on project stage and status of project status, progression, and implementation issues and resolutions to ensure that ITD is fully abreast of current project executions
  
  
• 
  Track, elevate, and provide updates on Service and Project delivery . Identifying risks to cost and schedule that may impact ability to provide agreed services and outcomes as identified in IT roadmap, business identified IT needs, and emergent requirements.
  
  
• 
  Analyze project issues and develop recommendations to meet productivity, quality, and satisfaction goals and objectives.
  
  
• 
  Develop and implement means ( metrics, key performance indicators, and critical success factors) for monitoring IT roadmap execution, project progress, risk analysis, cost, return on investment/value, impacts and problem solving. Collect, analyze and report on performance measures to evaluate effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
  
  
• 
  Assist in developing schedules to meet project requirements and monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that schedule objectives are met.
  
  
• 
  Track and monitor the overall outcome of the projects and deliverables in accordance with IT roadmap and ITD management goals, objectives, and deadlines.
  
  
• 
  Assist the ITD Management, IT Chief Strategist, Enterprise Architects, and Technical Project Manager with defining and documenting project scopes and objectives by analysis and recommendation; including writing service or project charters and change proposals for review by IT staff and review boards.

  Provide project management capabilities to improve functionality, meet compliance requirements, or implement new capabilities on IT projects.
  
  
• 
  Monitor development of Work Breakdown Structure , project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  
  
• 
  Support the implementation of projects and ensure that the coordination of deliverables is synchronized as necessary to achieve project system or service release to the Government
  
  
• 
  Close out project documentation , including project paperwork, upon Government acceptance of the system or service.
  
  
  Basic Qualifications:

    BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
    
    
  • 
    5+ years of project management experience preferably within a DoD program; duties noted above should be understood
    
    
  • 
    Solid technical acumen with PMO support experience
    
    
  • 
    PMP
