Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Director (ED) is the primary leader of the
organization, setting the tone and strategic vision of Pets
Alive.
REPORTS TO
The Board of Directors but is not accountable to individual Board
members in day-to-day operations.
WORK HOURS
Full time during hours of operation.Overtime as required to achieve
goals.
WAGE/HOUR STATUS
$70-75k

JOB PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to produce high-quality work in a timely manner.
Ability to manage staff effectively.
Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, oftentimes loud work
environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and resolve disputes
professionally.
Ability to lead fundraising activities and community outreach
programs.
Ability to manage work, environment, and self, in a professional
manner.
Ability to work with others as a team to achieve common goals.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
is required.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a leadership
role.
Successful completion of coursework or experience in fundraising
principles and programs.
Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
Passion for animal welfare and commitment to the organization's
mission and values.
Prior experience in a leadership role, working with a board, and
overseeing and managing budgets.
Experience in the non-profit sector is highly desirable.
