Critical Care Medicine - Regional Medical Director Opportunity Columbus, Ohio Relocation Assistance Full Time BE or BC Mount Carmel Health System (MCHS) has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a board certified Regional Medical Director of Critical Care Medicine/ICU located in Columbus, Ohio.

The Regional Director of Critical Care/ICU will be clinically responsible for the quality of intensive care services within MCHS, and administratively responsible for the Intensivist Program within MMCHS. The Medical Director will coordinate all activities relating to intensivist services, assign all cases or direct their assignment, resolve scheduling problems, and monitor and lead improvement of the safety and quality of intensive care services at the Hospital.

The selected candidate will possess fellowship training along with five to seven years of experience in Critical Care Medicine. Must also be able to teach principles of Critical Care formally and informally. This opportunity will serve as an integral member of Mount Carmel Health Systems medical staff and will interact with peer physicians and model appropriate Critical Care medicine.

The Regional Director of Critical Care/ICU will report to the Chief Clinical Officer and will oversee ICU Medical Directors. The Regional Director will meet with the Director of Critical Care Services and CMO monthly to monitor progress, review the ICU scorecard, resolve issues, and identify barriers to achieving best practice care. In addition, this role meets with the Chief Clinical Officer, CMOs and other ICU Medical Directors annually to review and agree upon system goals. The Regional Director will be responsible for the following:

- ICU Provider Staffing & Training
- ICU Process/Performance Improvement
- Hospital and System Processes/Performance Improvement
- Quality and Outcomes/Culture
- ICU Processes/Performance Improvement
- Development & Implementation of Collaborative Care Maps
- Administrative responsibilities for all Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers of Critical Care Patients
