- Takes and records patients' blood pressure, temperature, pulse,
height, weight and vision test and report abnormal patient
conditions to the physician, nurse practitioner, physician
assistant, nurse or physical therapist
- Responds to patient symptoms and complaints with first aid or
consultation with nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners,
physician assistants, and physical therapist
- Prepares patients for specific minor surgery and treatment
procedures which may include colposcopy, cryo surgery, IUD
placement and endometrial biopsies and assists the provider as
required during the procedure
- Prepares medical equipment, laboratory specimen collection
materials and pharmaceuticals for patient office examinations
- Administers routine treatment procedures as ordered and
supervised by physicians, nurse practitioners, physician
assistants, physical therapist and nurses
- Performs general office duties as needed
QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
- High school diploma or GEDWORK EXPERIENCERequired
- 6 months experience in health careCombinations of related
education and experience may be considered. SKILLSRequired
- Proficient communication skills
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism
- Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills
- Demonstrates a high commitment to qualityWorking Conditions /
DemandsThis role requires sedentary work as well as extended
durations of moving about the workplace. It requires the ability to
move objects and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, and the
ability to discern between various objects and devices and to
position patients. The person in this role must be able to perform
the essential functions with or without an accommodation.Work
