Position Description: 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Assess patients for appropriate respiratory therapy, perform and analyze arterial blood gases, perform EKG s, Bipap and CPAP management, administer small volume nebulization, perform ezpap, utilize mucus clearance devices, work with all age groups newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric

2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Cerner computerized charting, Accudose med discpencing system, V60 bipap, vision bipap, Vapotherm, Servio I ventilator,biflex home cpap units

3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Good communication and collaborative skills

Education and/or Experience
Associate degree (A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Indiana State Respiratory Care Practitioner License required, Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to
write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to
compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with
problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Night shift 7pm-7am, therapist do not work alone 3-4 RT s per shift, no on call, Every other weekend rotation

225 beds, Respiratory covers ED, med-surg units, ICU, PACU, OR (code help),Cath Lab, pediatrics, LDRP, nursery, and the mental health unit

9. Dress Code:
Navy blue scrubs, no facial piercings
Comments: Hospital rate: $110.00, OT/CB: $120.00, Hol: $165.00, OC: $8.00
AP rate: $104.50, AP OT/CB: $114.00, AP Hol: $156.75, AP OC: $7.60

24 hours per week
Shift: 12 hour days, Saturday and Sunday
