Bloomington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Bloomington, IN - a
NEW 40 bed rehabilitation hospital - is seeking a Payor Relations
Specialist to join our team!
This role will be based out of Bloomington,
but will cover both our Bloomington and Lafayette Hospitals!
Bloomington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital is a free-standing new
construction inpatient rehab hospital located at 3050 N. Lintel
Drive, Bloomington, IN 47404. The facility is approximately 47,000
square foot one-story building that will have 40 private rooms, a
large therapy gym with high tech equipment and an outside
ambulatory courtyard, on-site dialysis, pharmacy and radiology.
This site is affiliated with IU Health Bloomington. At our
hospital, we treat a wide variety of patients such as those
recovering from a Stroke, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury,
Multiple Trauma, Amputation, Neurological conditions, orthopedics
and medically complex patients.
The Payor Relations Specialist will work closely with several
different members of the interdisciplinary team, including
marketing, admissions, case management, and providers inside the
facility as well as outside insurers and managed care organizations
to ensure the treatment needs of the patients are met, maximizing
their overall outcomes and quality of life. They are responsible
for obtaining and maintaining service authorizations from
third-party payors to ensure reimbursement for services provided,
before, throughout, and after a patient stay. The Payor Relations
Specialist will be integral in advocating for the patient needs and
education of staff on clinical documentation & justification.
Qualifications/Skills :
* Current state RN license preferred.
* Two years recent experience in Utilization Review and/or Case
Management preferred OR any equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Additional Qualifications/Skills :
* Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
* Knowledge of the compliance and regulatory standards governing
health plans
and patient care.
* Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial
support as
they relate to quality and efficiency.
* Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word
processing,
email, and record management.
* Effective organizational and time management skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
* Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
* Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control
standards.
