Job Description Pluto Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/07/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel First Time Travelers Accepted Locals: Not accepted Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience, will accept 1 year Proficient in cardiac monitoring- on unit monitoring Management of chest tubes Fresh trachs Feeding tube care and management Care of post of patients Epidurals Management of non-titratable cardiac drips IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips External BiPAP/CPAP Total laryngectomy Doppler flap checks Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals REFUSAL TO FLOAT MAY END IN TERMINATION OF CONTRACT Staffing Ratios: 1:3-4 Unit Information: Surgical PCU- almost ICU level acuity- ENT (Neck dissections, Mandibulectomy), Thoracic (Esophagectomy, Lobectomy, Pneumonectomy), General Surg.
