BLS, National Board of Respiratory Care Certification (CRT
acceptable) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Critical care experience
Description: Position involves providing respiratory therapy to
patients in critical care settings. Required qualifications include
a valid Kentucky respiratory care license and national
certification. A comprehensive knowledge of advanced ventilatory
support systems is necessary. Experience with ventilators such as
980, 840, AVEA, and Hamilton is preferred. Familiarity with
equipment like V60, cough assist, metaneb, and nitric oxide is
essential. A collaborative team player approach is critical for
this role. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a
fast-paced environment. Orientation and training will be provided
to familiarize the successful candidate with protocols and
procedures. Weekly guaranteed hours are 36, with weekend work
required every third weekend. Candidates with level 1 trauma and
transplant/cardiac experience are encouraged to apply. Teamwork and
effective communication skills are vital in this role.
