Pay Information $2,102 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intermediate/Step Down Cardiac Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Current State License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: Cardiac PCU experience CABG experience Description: No block scheduling. The role involves working in a cardiac unit specializing in post-operative care for coronary artery bypass grafts and valve surgeries. Responsibilities include managing patients with chest pain, dysrhythmias, and congestive heart failure. Nurses will provide care for patients post catheterization and those with pacemaker or AICD placements. Patient ratios are 4:1 or 5:1, and 6:1 if floated to other units. The unit has 16 beds and utilizes equipment such as IV pumps and chest tubes. Familiarity with electronic medical records is required. Nurses should be competent in post-cath sheath removal and managing cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Primacor, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Heparin. Team-oriented personality is essential. Scrub color is galaxy blue.
