Compensation - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1770 - $1820 PCU RN Job Details - Location: Bloomington, IN 47408 (Indiana nursing jobs) - Unit: 5E – Acute Adaptable (Medical-Surgical, PCU, Stepdown, ICU-level care) - Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (19:00 – 07:30) - Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/9/2025 – End: 3/10/2026) - Hours per Week: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Floating: Required within hospital and affiliate hospitals - Scrub Color: Black bottoms, red top - Charting System: Cerner - Parking: Free onsite parking Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 1.5 years recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or IMC (2 years preferred) - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana or compact state; temporary license accepted) - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Experience working as charge nurse preferred - Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4-6 based on acuity - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs - Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment - Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program - 2 supervisor references required - Travel nurses must reside outside Indiana PCU Nurse Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with medical-surgical, stepdown, and ICU-level acuity - Monitor and manage patients with COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, UTI, CHF, and other acute conditions - Perform and document comprehensive assessments, interventions, and evaluations - Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips; manage central and peripheral lines; interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and more - Serve as charge nurse when assigned, supporting nursing staff and ensuring smooth unit operations - Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as required to meet patient care needs - Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and documentation standards Apply now to join our healthcare team in Bloomington, Indiana and make a difference as a travel PCU Registered Nurse!
