Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Description: 4E PCU/MedSurg: Mix Acuity Unit, must be comfortable with PCU and MedSurg and will work across all if needed Shift: 3x12s or 4x12s Ratios: 1:5 Years of experience REQ: 18 months First timers accepted: Yes Weekend REQ: Every other Certs REQ ACLS, BCLS Required; NIH is preferred Is on-call REQ No Will the clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes Open to accommodating block schedule? To be discussed Locals accepted: No. Pending License accepted: Yes. Must obtain IN, compact, and/or temp license prior to start RTO Restrictions: Must work 2/3 major holidays. Guaranteed Hours:8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr. shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek. Special Requirements: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery (directly or indirectly from OR), transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/replacement (TAVI/TAVR); Arterial line management, blood production administration, central line care/management, PICC line management; titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips. Preferred - Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Sheath Removal, Ventricular Assist devices (LVAD/RVAD/Impella); Care of ventilated patients, ventilator management. Previous charge experience is preferred. Unit Information: Patient Diagnoses- CV Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology, Endocrine, Oncology Special Procedures/Unit Details: CVICU – largest patient population is CV surgery and Thoracic surgery, including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS. Additional patient populations include flex acuity of MedSurg, Progressive and ICU of cardiovascular and oncology patients Special Equipment: All private rooms with overhead lifts. Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline.
