Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • Work in a mixed acuity unit with ICU ratios of 1:2 and rare AA ratios of 1:3-4 • Choose from 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for 3 twelve-hour shifts, or 48 hours for 4 twelve-hour shifts • Every other weekend required with must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals required • 18 months of experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; NIH preferred • Indiana state license must be in hand prior to start date • Dress code: black bottoms and red tops • Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience) • Free parking provided • 36-hour orientation with non-billable modules (4-6 hours) completed pre-start • Care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS procedures • Manage patients with cardiovascular, endocrine, and oncology diagnoses across Med/Surg, Progressive, and ICU acuity levels • Required skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips • Preferred skills include IABP, pre/post cardiac cath procedures, sheath removal, ventricular assist devices, and ventilator management • Previous charge experience preferred with charge pay available • Work with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Facility: This 210-bed short-term acute care hospital features a 30-bed CVICU with all private rooms equipped with overhead lifts and telemetry monitoring. The facility specializes in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures, providing comprehensive care for complex cardiac patients. The hospital maintains a daily census of approximately 30 patients and offers extensive interdisciplinary support services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
