ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Bloomington, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/13/2026 - Duration: 18 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts • Every other weekend requirement • 24 hours of orientation provided • Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights and weekends • Must have 2 years of Med/Surg experience required • Required certifications: BCLS and NIHSS • Cerner charting system experience required • Floating to other units is 100% required • Charge nurse responsibilities may be required with training and resources provided • Care for adults and geriatric patients with daily census of 24 • Required skills: starting and maintaining IVs, nasal cannula, oxygen administration • Preferred skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, previous charge experience • Treat patients with medical surgical diagnoses including COVID, abdominal pain, respiratory distress • Work with overnight observation patients requiring continued workup • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • No first-time travelers accepted • Indiana residents not accepted for this position • Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only Facility: This healthcare facility features a Medical Surgical unit directly adjacent to the Emergency Department, functioning similar to a clinical decision unit for observation patients.
