Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Bloomington, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,771 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 18 Weeks Start Date: 1/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 18 months Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS NIHSS ACLS preferred Must-Have: Med/Surg experience Starting IVs Nasal Cannula Description: Charge coverage may be required based on operational needs. Training and resources will be provided for charge nurse responsibilities. Candidates should be comfortable with these responsibilities. The unit is medical surgical, directly adjacent to the emergency department. Patients are held overnight for continuous work-up as observation patients. This unit is similar to a clinical decision unit. Patient diagnoses include medical surgical cases, COVID, abdominal pain, respiratory distress, and symptoms requiring further evaluation. Candidates must float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Travelers are required to have experience in charting with Cerner. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is preferred, along with previous charge experience. Candidates should be knowledgeable in isolation precautions and management of dysrhythmias. Daily patient census is approximately 24, with ratios being 5 patients per nurse during the day and increasing at night. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. The facility seeks individuals that can work effectively in varied environments. Compliance with all requirements for travel positions is essential. Candidates must maintain professionalism and provide excellent patient care.
