ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Bloomington, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/10/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 48 hours for 4x12 shifts • Patient ratios range from 1:4-6 depending on acuity level (Med Surg, PCU, or ICU level care) • This is an acuity adaptable unit and boarding unit where patients come from ED and are boarded until discharge or transfer • Float position that may require floating to inpatient PCU unit - PCU experience required • Team nursing environment working with RN/LPN teams requiring delegation skills • Must work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays • High-paced environment with up to 15 admissions per day due to constant turnover • 4-bed unit that can expand to 8-10 beds with staffing adjusted based on acuity and need • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH • Cerner charting system experience required • Minimum 2 years nursing experience required • Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted • No on-call requirements • Care for adult and geriatric patients with Med Surg Tele and PCU level diagnoses • Skills required include telemetry monitoring, central line care, PICC management, PCA pumps, blood product administration, and various cardiac protocols Facility: This healthcare facility operates as a comprehensive medical center providing acute care services with specialized emergency department boarding capabilities.
