Bloomington campus. Bradford Woods is a private property that
consists of 2,500-acres of wooded land with a 110-acre lake. Our
property sits just outside of Martinsville off State Road 67. The
property is used by over 400 unique programs from retreats and
events to environmental education school programs.Offering free

our core mission. Job SummaryDepartment-Specific
Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, prepares food items according to
menus and numbers of portions to be served.
- Weighs or measures ingredients, uses manual and/or electric
appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods, and washes, peels
and/or cuts various foods to prepare for cooking or serving to
Bradford Woods guests.
- Assures that the kitchen is equipped with all necessary food
and cooking items for scheduled meals and informs supervisors when
supplies are low, or equipment is not working properly.
- Cleans galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to
ensure cleanliness and functional operation and removes trash and
cleans kitchen garbage containers.QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or
GED)SKILLSRequired
- Working knowledge of preparation methods and practices for a
variety of foods, and considerable knowledge of basic kitchen
sanitation methods and food safety practices
- Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
Ability to read and interpret recipes and calculate necessary
quantities of ingredients
- Ability to learn to operate institutional kitchen
equipment
- Ability to coordinate both preparation and timing for menu food
itemsWorking Conditions / DemandsAbility to remain stationary,
particularly for long periods of time. Requires light-medium
physical effort under hot working conditions. Using kitchen
equipment and tools, moving supplies weighing from 15-30 pounds,
and effective communication skills are necessary. Ability to
maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene. Must be able to
perform essential job duties with or without reasonable

Salary$12.00 per hourWork HoursFlexible work schedule - ability to
work late hours.Management reserves the right to adjust work hours
to accommodate special meals and events.Minimum of 10 hours per
week, Monday - SundayPosition is capped at 29 hours per
