Job Summary Department-Specific Responsibilities:

  • The Associate Director of Interactive Recruiting will work collaboratively with program leadership and other functional areas within the Kelley School on the design and implementation of digital communications to internal and external stakeholders (prospects, applicants, and admitted students) via multiple channels such as: electronic communications (email campaigns, video, blogs, e-newsletters, PowerPoint, SMS/MMS); virtual engagements (webinars, online events); social media initiatives and other channels in order to achieve overall enrollment goals and brand awareness for the Kelley Direct portfolio.
  • This position will promote Kelley Direct at recruiting events, including virtual open houses, special topic sessions, and occasional in-person events.
  • The Associate Director will design highly personalized communication plans for the full graduate admissions funnel as well as internal communications to current students and will be expected to constantly innovate to ensure Kelley Direct's digital lead generation/cultivation efforts and communication tactics remain at the forefront of our peer graduate programs. General Responsibilities:
    • Independently creates basic and complex communications for print and e-distribution on behalf of department or functional area within department and in support of departmental goals and objectives; communications may be interdepartmental; staff, faculty, or student-focused; or external.
    • Responds to inquiries and requests and explains policies, procedures, and context of communications.
    • Manages relationships with various internal and external stakeholders and creates communications coverage for relevant initiatives, events, and programs.
    • Prepares communications timelines and shares progress of communications toward relevant deadlines with manager, team members, and other relevant constituents.
    • Regularly monitors relevant social media and news sites; researches relevant subject matter to increase knowledge in area(s) of specialty.
    • Utilizes various communications software programs and delivers communications in multiple formats to a variety of audiences.
    • May provide guidance to lower-level Communications Generalists. QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
      • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, or related field.WORK EXPERIENCERequired
        • 2 years of experience in a relevant field.Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.LICENSE / CERTIFICAIONSPreferred
          • Salesforce CRM or Marketing Cloud certifications.SKILLSRequired

              • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Power Point or related applications.Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.Work hours include some evening availability (1-2 evenings a month) and occasional weekend availability (4-6 times a year). Ability to travel domestically and internationally 1-2 times per year for 5 to 10-day increments.
