Department PURCHASING (UA-PUR-IUBLA)Job Summary Indiana University's procurement system is centered around supplier data. The accuracy of this data is critical to the success of purchases and payments generated by the system, as well accurate tax reporting. The Master Data Management Project Specialist is responsible for reviewing supplier record edit requests and initial registration submissions. This position also audits existing records for various compliance standards. Duties and responsibilities include: * Audits supplier records on an ongoing basis per department standards. * Proactively runs reports to catch discrepancies in supplier data. * Reviews supplier initiated changes to record. * Reviews supplier registration for accuracy and compliance prior to approval. * Reviews new supplier requests from departments. * Ensures BUY.IU Supplier integrity. * Responsible for securing W-9 forms. * Responsible for maintaining Supplier records to ensure all information is accurate. * Reviews W-9 and W-8BEN forms for accuracy. * Monitors team inbox for departmental support. * Provides registration support to suppliers. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED and two years of purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or data management experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Excel or Access. Organizational skills, including ability to multitask and change tasks quickly. Ability to work with little supervision. Ability to follow procedures exclusively. Attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of the tax forms W-9 and W-8BEN. Knowledge of OnBase, KFS, and BUY.IU. 2-4 year degree in business, data management, or IT. Working Conditions / Demands Remaining stationary for long periods. Using the computer constantly.
