APPLIED ENGINEERING TEAM Immuta's Applied Engineering team is a multi-functional engineering team responsible for product orchestration and packaging, internal and customer-facing application development, and internal-deployment automation. They work closely with Immuta's Product Engineering team to enhance the efficiency and security of the product's deployment automation. They also build and maintain modern web applications that are used by Immuta customers and employees. These applications include customer-facing applications that provide access to resources such as documentation, artifacts, and support. Internal, employee-focused applications the team is responsible for are used to simplify workflows and deploy demo and test environments. The members of this team are top-notch software engineers who are passionate about building scalable & reliable software. YOUR ROLE As Team Lead of the Applications team, you will lead a small team of developers that is responsible for the development and maintenance of Immuta's Identity Management system and several APIs and tools that are used by customers and internal teams. Your responsibilities will include: * Software Development. You must be an experienced Software Engineer with a desire to stay involved in the implementation of new features. * Mentoring team members. The team consists of Software Engineers of varying experience levels. You will provide guidance to help team members grow. * Release planning and execution. You will plan software releases from start to finish. This includes prioritizing features and tasks, assigning tickets to team members, and communicating releases through release notes and internal blog posts. * Ensuring quality of software releases. You will be responsible for planning. It is imperative that automated testing be established to ensure the quality of deliverables and confidence in releases. To accomplish these initiatives, you will: * Build web applications using cutting-edge technologies and deploy them in Kubernetes. * Constantly explore new technology and expand the team's technical expertise. * Become a subject-matter expert on identity management and authentication protocols. * Have experience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. * Have excellent communication skills and can effectively discuss technical issues with both technical and non-technical individuals. * Can build scalable APIs that would be used by both internal and external customers. * Like to get out of their comfort zone and expand their knowledge.
