The ability to communicate complex information to technical and nontechnical users, including management is essential. Maintaining and supporting technical infrastructure, hardware and system software. Perform installation, configuration, and support of system software / hardware and provide end-user support. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. In the event of a service interruption, provide high-level root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures. Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity. Test application performance for potential bottlenecks and identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes. Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies. Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the need for manual intervention. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for all Enterprise Applications supported by EAG. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.-- --- What Part Will You Play? This role would be responsible for the growth and support of a host of applications within our Client facing area of responsibility. They would be a guiding member of the Engineering teams lead engineers and set direction and focus for the applications under their purview.-- Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server and UNIX / LINUX based environments. Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application technologies (i.e., Tomcat, IIS, Apache, Websphere among others) Solid Cloud experience such as AWS and Azure. Experience with virtualization and containerization (i.e., VMware and Docker). Experience with monitoring systems and infrastructure. Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP and F5) Partners and consults with the business and technology teams to develop basic to complex code for internal and external client software solutions. Provides expert advice for the design, creation and delivery of routine to complex program specifications for code development and support on multiple, complex projects and issues with an in-depth understanding of the application and/or area as it relates to assigned projects and provides advice on how functional areas interact. Uses experience to take insightful and logical corrective measures for complex deficiencies and forwards systemic proposals to leadership. Provides expert advice/guidance to all levels for application documentation, procedures, methodologies and standards. Applies in-depth knowledge of testing and validation for basic to complex code changes. Provides advice to leadership on the design, development and enforcement of business/infrastructure application standards to include the associated controls, procedures and monitoring to ensure compliance and accuracy of data. Develops, administers and recommends billable hours and resource estimates on complex initiatives, projects and issues. Assists with on-the-job training and provides in-depth expertise and advice to developers. What Are We Looking For in This Role? Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Relevant Experience or Degree in: Degree in a related field and/or the equivalent in training and experience Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Exp System design and development in a client server environment
Preferred Qualifications AWS Administrator, Architect, and/or Cloud Practitioner. Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems or Engineering Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Exp Experience in an analytical, research, or project management environment in the credit card or software industry; programming experience with .Net development, including C# and C++ What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?
