Indiana University's Cyberinfrastructure for Network Science Center
(CNS) is looking for a full-time DevOps Engineer, specializing in
Kubernetes, to become an integral member of a professional
development team. Your contributions will directly impact the
advancement of visualizations, datasets, tools, and services in the
study of scholarly, social, biomedical, and other networks. Your
skills will launch a next generation infrastructure that will power
our center's diverse software portfolio. In addition to software
development and IT operations, you will gather and refine IT
requirements for a limited number of projects, work with center
leadership to document and convey real-time status of
infrastructure, and work with IU IT administrators to maintain a
high level of compliance with IU policies. You will be interacting
with a wide variety of people, so excellent communication skills
are a must.
Undergraduate degree and two years of professional
experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies,
experience setting up Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
(CI/CD) pipelines, and proven professional experience in the DevOps
Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a
wide diversity of individuals. Excellent interpersonal skills and a
customer service orientation. Strong organizational and
multitasking skills including the ability to manage multiple
priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Undergraduate degree in computer science or a related field.
Familiarity with best practices in IT administration. Familiarity
with Agile/SCRUM workflow. Experience in cross-disciplinary teams
and strong collaboration skills. A can-do work ethic.
Salary Plan: PAE
Salary Grade: 3IT
