DepartmentARTS & SCIENCES; DEAN (BL-ARSD-IUBLA)Department InformationThe College of Arts & Sciences Walter Center for Career Achievement team is currently seeking a work-study graduate student to assist in career programming and coaching for graduate students. Graduate student interns will work collaboratively as members of the Career Education team and under supervision of the full-time Graduate Student Career Coach.   • Coach graduate students on career exploration and job search related topics such as exploring career options and connecting graduate study to job opportunities, CV/resume reviews, interview preparation, and utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Assist in planning specialized career programming and small group presentations for graduate students.
  • Create and facilitate career-related presentations to small groups of graduate students.
  • Conduct focus groups and outreach to assess career-related needs of graduate students in the College.
  • Assist with data analysis and resource development.QualificationsEDUCATION Required
    • Currently enrolled as a graduate student (College of Arts & Sciences student preferred) at Indiana University Bloomington.
    • Eligible for a work-study. SKILLS
      • Interest or experience in coaching/mentoring/advising/counseling.
      • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
      • Comfortable presenting and facilitating small group discussion.
      • Organization/attention to detail.
      • Basic data collection and analysis.
