DepartmentINFORMATION AND LIBRARY SCIENC (BL-SLIS-IUBLA)Job SummaryThe Department of Information and Library Science at Indiana University seeks a graduate student for the position of Records Assistant. The Records Assistant coordinates collection of ILS records for internal use and reporting purposes and reports to the ILS Administrative Assistant and Office Manager. Assists with collection of information for accreditation and reporting purposes, including but not limited to ALA Accreditation, ALISE Statistical Survey, and ILS Annual Report. Coordinates transfer of student records with the Luddy Graduate Studies Office. Coordinates collection and facilitates organization of records from ILS office staff via Microsoft Teams. Scans student records and forms as needed. Collaborates with ILS office staff on projects and events as needed. QualificationsEDUCATION Required Currently enrolled as a graduate student at Indiana University. SKILLS Demonstrated ability to interact with multiple constituents. Ability to collect and analyze qualitative data from a variety of stakeholders. Attention to detail. Skills in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, and Acrobat (preferred: Adobe CS including Illustrator and Photoshop & Canvas). Exceptional communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple simultaneous projects. Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.Work Location700 N Woodlawn Ave, Bloomington, Indiana (LUDDY)Work HoursHours will be limited to 15 per week with a flexible schedule (between 8 am and 5 pm).
