Position Summary:
An equipment lead's primary responsibility is to efficiently and
safely setup and operate the various pieces of production equipment
within the facility. The equipment lead is expected to work in a
hands-on fashion, to take ownership of the quality and quantity of
product produced during shift and to be actively involved in
continual process improvements. Equipment leads will work with
mechanical and computer operated equipment. They must be
technically inclined and be able to properly utilize tools and
machinery. They will coordinate operator equipment training and
line position assignment during manufacturing operations. They will
take ownership for equipment, working closely with engineering
counterparts to allocate personnel during equipment downtime and
assist with basic repair functions. Responsibilities include:
Follow accurately all GMP documents (Batch records, SOPs,
protocols, etc), operate in a clean room environment within
required gowning, aseptic behaviors, and proper flow procedures,
must take ownership of operator training and allocation during GMP
production, must work effectively in a team environment to achieve
company goals, must adhere to company compliance, safety and
attendance requirements.
This is a full-time position. It is hourly. The shift is Sunday -
Thursday 11pm-7:30am.

drug substance manufacturing, drug product manufacturing, and

The Role:
+ Needs strong mechanical aptitude and basic trouble shooting
skills on equipment
+ Has developed expertise typically developed through a combination
of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
+ Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies
and may help determine the appropriate approach for new
assignments
+ Provide leadership to manufacturing personnel to identify &
eliminate waste, implement standard-work, and provide problem
solving & solution implementation assistance
+ Must have in depth understanding and usage of Operational
Excellence concepts and tools
+ Likely to act as a training resource for operations colleagues on
equipment related topics
+ Safely operates complex equipment in accordance with cGMPs
+ Basic understanding of cGMP operation procedures and company
manufacturing goals and requirements
+ Troubleshoot basic equipment and recommend solutions
The Candidate:
+ High School/GED with 3+ years manufacturing or leadership
experience OR
+ Associate degree with 1+ year manufacturing or leadership
experience OR
+ Bachelor's degree
+ GMP experience preferred
+ Must be able to read and understand English-written job
instructions and safety requirements
