POSITION SUMMARY
Job Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector for Goodwill of Central &
Southern Indiana's Tremont Warehouse conducts routine and
nonroutine quality control inspections of raw materials, in-process
materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with internal
and customer specifications. They compile and evaluate data to
establish and maintain the quality and reliability of products.
They also perform internal quality audits and complete related
documentation. The key to this position is also to motivate others
to adhere to work instructions and improve the quality of their
work.
Example Duties and Activities
Performs inspection of raw material, in-process product, finished
goods, and uses inspection equipment as necessary to comply with
customer specifications, internal specifications, and regulatory
and legal requirements.
Records test and inspection data.
Creates graphs or charts and enters data into spreadsheets for
review.
Assists in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective
action.
Promotes ISO to the hourly workforce and works with operators when
quality issues are found.
Communicates quality issues to QA and management and provides
samples and data when needed.
Participates in the continuous improvement process.
Conducts first article inspection for new job starts.
Executes internal quality audits.
Provides training when necessary.

assurance base standards, requirements, specifications, and
guidelines to ensure that products, services, and processes are of
good quality and fit for purpose according to ISO standards.
Data Review and Reporting - Collects, interprets, and examines
operational data to identify root causes, resolves corrective
actions, and continuously improves processes.
Preferred Competencies
Quality Control Audits - Conducts tests and inspections of
products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or
performance; documents examinations of a quality system for
verifying conformity with a standard based on clear evidence such
as the implementation of processes, effectiveness in achieving
quality goals, and reduction and elimination of quality
problems.
Time Management - Manages one's own time and the time of others
effectively.
Quality Training - Educates and trains team members in the quality
procedures related to the mission of the team.
Other Requirements
Physical Work - Is able to regularly spend time sitting, standing,
walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Uses hands to grasp,
carry, feel, or touch both products and machinery. Has the ability
to move and lift 25+ pounds. Can manage frequent exposure to
moderate/loud noise.
Visual Acuity - Meets the screening requirements of 20/40 vision
using both eyes with or without correction.
Minimum of 18 years of age
