DepartmentACADEMIC SUPPORT-ASDV (BL-ACSP-IUBLA)Department InformationThe Hudson & Holland Scholars Program (HHSP) is a scholarship and support program for high achieving students from communities historically excluded due to race and ethnicity. The program provides all students funding to cover in-state tuition and mandatory fees (or equal to the amount of in-state tuition and mandatory fees, for non-resident students), and a variety of enrichment and holistic support programs that enable diverse populations of students to be engaged, persist, and advance. This community of talented scholars is among the best and brightest students at Indiana University, whose presence and contributions embody the program's core values of leadership, engagement, academics, and diversity.Job SummaryDepartment Specific Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the HHSP Administrative Secretary and staff
  • Responsible for answering phones, replying to email, serving as the HHSP receptionist and providing event planning support for HHSP staff and leadership.

  • Greets students and guests
  • Replys to general inquiry emails
  • Provides event planning support for HHSP staff and leadership.
  • Works with vendors for catering, room reservations and ordering supplies. QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
    • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University. WORK EXPERIENCERequired
      • 1 year experience in event planning and general office duties. Preferred
        • Experience working with vendors on catering, ordering supplies and securing venues. SKILLSRequired
          • Knowledge on event planning and support.
          • Knowledge of general office protocols and functions like answering phones, greeting guests and answering email.
          • Good work ethic
          • Detail oriented
          • Excellent communication skills. Advertised Salary$10.15Work HoursFlexible schedule, anytime during 9am - 5pm, Monday-Friday. Some rare weekend work may be required for special programs. The employee must maintain a maximum of no more than 29 hours per week across all positions of employment held with Indiana University.
