DepartmentSICE ADMINISTRATION (BL-INAD-IUBLA)Department InformationThe School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering includes the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington and the School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI. The mission of the School is to excel and lead in education, research, and outreach spanning and integrating the full breadth of computing and information technology, including the scientific and technical core, a broad range of applications, and human and societal issues and implications.We are excited to welcome a dynamic team member who will work with our Luddy development staff to reach annual, corporate, and major gift fundraising goals and provide quality service and stewardship to Luddy constituents.Job SummaryDepartment Specifiic Responsibilities

  • Serves as liaison for IU Luddy Alumni Association, including planning, programs, and communications (i.e. campaigns, events, meetings, newsletters, etc.) and manages the Luddy School's Alumni Ambassador Board, including the annual awards programs.
  • Plans, administers, and executes annual fundraising programs in conjunction with Director of Development and Assistant Dean for Development, including annual campaigns, membership models, communications, and events for current and/or prospective donors and sponsorGeneral Responsibilities
    • Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards gifts through personal visits, phone calls, correspondence, and other campaigns and events.
    • Maintains personal contact with a range of constituent to provide information concerning gift and engagement opportunities and develop their interest and support.
    • Provides unit leadership and university partners professional fundraising assistance planning and coordinating various programs, projects and efforts that help acquire gifts and engage key stakeholders.
    • Manages and tracks activity, collaborates in the development of gift agreements and stewardship. Generates reports relative to development plans and activities with other donor relations personnel.
    • Makes recommendations for solicitation strategies to accomplish fundraising goals. Help create targeted appeals or specific strategies for departments, centers or programs.
    • Stays current on unit, university and IU Foundation activities and policies related to fundraising, mission and goals. QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
      • Bachelor's degree in related fieldWORK EXPERIENCEPreferred
        • Some experience in fundraising/development, sales, communications, public relations, a higher education foundation, or related fieldCombinations of related education and experience may be considered SKILLSRequired

          • Maintains a high degree of professionalism

The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
