IU Early Childhood Education Services (ECES) provides year-round,
high-quality care and education at nationally accredited centers
for children ages birth through five years. Our commitment to
high-quality is demonstrated by providing child-centered, active
learning environments based on research supported best practices,
through degreed teachers, strong campus support, and adherence to
the National Association for the Education of Young Children
(NAEYC). In addition to the service component, the IUB ECES Centers
meet the academic mission of Indiana University by providing sites
for student training and by serving as research sites for faculty
and students. Finally, the early childhood centers at IUB serve as
model high quality, early education programs for the Bloomington
community and the state of Indiana.

This role regularly requires the ability to effectively
communicate. This role frequently requires the ability to handle
equipment. This role frequently requires the ability to remain
stationary and ascend/descend ladders/stairs. This role requires
the ability to move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. The role
requires the ability to detect items in proximity as well as far
away; discern between colors; detect objects in peripheral space of
self; discern items in detail; and to have good depth perception.
The person in this role must be able to perform the essential
functions with or without an accommodation.
