Tri-County Steel, Inc. (TCS) is a woman-owned small business located in Bedford, Indiana. As a defense contractor supporting NSWC Crane for over 14 years, TCS offers a wide variety of logistics, programmatic, and engineering support services. We need an experienced Logistician ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. We invite resumes from all interested parties.

Primary Purpose
These positions will provide logistics and facility support at multiple locations (Bedford and NSWC Crane), with responsibility for ensuring the efficient movement of material for multiple customers in a production environment.

Essential Functions

• Handle and maintain the flow of materials in warehouses according to established standards.
• Verifies material received against record of shipment, inspects and reports discrepancies and any obvious defects.
• Interfaces with customer on the planning and forecasting of material to meet multiple productions schedules
• Ensures standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all material and facility functions
• Tracks equipment inductions and turn-ins
• Respond to internal and external data calls independently and with a short turnaround
• Manage and maintain deliverables and communications both internal and across external facing stakeholders and organizations
• Performs in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations and procedures
  Experience And Skills
  
  
  • High School diploma required. Technical school diploma or prior military experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform research, execute transactions and track material in databases such as Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM) or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete Government shipping/receiving documentation (1149's, 1348's)
  • 5+ years' experience with Material Movement, Supply and Provisioning, and Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation
  • Material Handling Equipment (forklift, hand truck, overhead crane, etc.) experience required.
  • Current Secret clearance preferred. Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance at the Secret level required. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to work with clients, team members, and management staff, including both DoD civilian, uniformed military, and contractor personnel
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

    • Proficient in the following programs: ERP, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel
    • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
    • Flexibility to cope with dynamic high-pressure environments and short-fused or rapidly changing deadlines and prioritization
    • Ability to effectively work both independently and as a collaborative team member
    • Analytical problem solver with a high attention to detail
    • Must be organized and process oriented
