The program explores the courts, cathedrals, fairs, and stages of the past, teaching listeners about the music, art, and history of various musical eras. Job SummaryWFIU is seeking individuals with expertise in Early Music and historical performance to join our pool of scriptwriters for the nationally syndicated radio program Harmonia.Department-Specific Responsibilities

• Uses knowledge of medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque music to craft hour-long programs that provide historical information on the early music genre.
• Uses themes in creative and unexpected ways as episodes are written thematically.
• Submits playlist information. QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)Preferred
    • Bachelor's degreeWORK EXPERIENCEPreferred
      • Coursework or related experience in the fields of music and/or musicology (specialty in Early Music)SKILLSRequired
        • Ability to write clearly for a general audience
        • Demonstrates familiarity with current trends, performers, and recordings in the early music genre
        • Ability to work independentlyPreferred
