Summary/Objective
The EFT Technician will serve as support staff for Credit Union
members and employees. This person will assist as a product and
process expert in the Electronic Funds Transfer and other account
services provided by Hoosier Hills Credit Union.

is a resolution.

Acumen and Technical Savvy - Possesses proficiency in account
maintenance, systems, and process knowledge to ensure records
accuracy, policy compliance, and service satisfaction with every
transaction.
Provide exemplary delivery of services to employees and members
through accurate transactions and professional conversations.
Champions quality control and change initiatives; promotes accuracy
and consistency by serving as a resource for all HHCU
employees.
Learns new procedures and products quickly, transferring knowledge
to others, and embraces technology and innovation.
Resolves problems or discrepancies, and transitions between
responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
Process and balance daily postings. Resolves any discrepancies.
Record and balance all unprocessed items.
Process stop-payments, garnishments and levies as received. Mail
letters and/or checks, as well as reply to correspondence from
requesting party.
Performs transactions and account/loan maintenance in a proficient
and accurate manner within security guidelines and with few
errors.
Report charge offs, Social Security returns, government
reclamations, and communicate with necessary outside parties.
Process plastic card requests, reporting, and maintenance. Report
denied credit card applications to the appropriate agencies.
Process and correct all EFT transactions transmitted daily from the
Federal Reserve.
Assist in solving member issues or questions on ATM/Debit Card
disputes and other EFT transactions.
Enter all rejections, pre-notifications, stop payments, etc. on the
Fedline.
Process wires and maintain records as required by policy and
regulation.
Prepare a variety of reports including those pertaining to share
drafts, negative balances, charge offs, exceptions, etc.
Process CD renewals.
Oversee/Assist with title tracking program.
Review, release, and post files for checks submitted by all members
via Mobile Deposit Capture (MDC) or Business Remote Deposit Capture
(bRDC). Import all RDC, bRDC, Remote Deposit, Smart ATM and Teller
Capture files into the check repository for retention.
Oversee proper maintenance for accounts with mandatory IRA
withdrawals.
Remit the final cash letter files to Federal Reserve.
Complete annual Bank Secrecy/OFAC and any other training annually
as assigned by Training or Compliance Staff. Comply with all
applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and business
practices established by Credit Union management.
Report counterfeit, altered/fictitious checks to management and
appropriate third parties.
Oversee the iTeller process in making sure all check batches are
balanced daily. Work with frontline staff regarding outages.
Maintain complete and accurate files of correspondence, reports,
postings, and other duty-related information.
Report all branch ECL information to the Accounting staff for
settlement purposes.
Process ACH files and post to loans as processed by Repay
software.
Maintain and order supplies as needed for the department.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of six months similar or related experience required.
Knowledge Requirements
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
Professional appearance and demeanor, good interpersonal relations
skills, and positive and optimistic outlook.
Strong knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
Proven accuracy and integrity of work.
Strong knowledge of various account structures, including POA,
trust and estate accounts as well as the rules and regulations
governing those various account types.
Employs tact and sound judgment required to solve day-to-day
problems within established guidelines.
Ability to gather and analyze data.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
with management, peers, employees, and vendors.
Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and
concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Normal accessibility of branch and corporate work sites required
for the position.
Normal physical mobility and agility, which includes movement from
place to place on the job, and the ability to maneuver body while
in place.
Normal dexterity of hands and fingers.
Normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot.
Works in typical administrative setting with climate control and
appropriate lighting.
Work requires occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds,
taking frequency into consideration.
