Production Technician Job Location: Louisville, KY (Branham) Job
Type: Full-Time Status: Non-Exempt Summary of the Role This
position is typically responsible for a variety of tasks that are
manufacturing or distribution based and may include assembling and
fabricating hoses. The role includes operation of machinery and
hand tools, including measuring equipment such as calipers and
measuring tapes. Responsibilities Must maintain 100% commitment to
safety policies and procedures. Maintains 100% quality per Work
Order/Job Sheet requirements. Operates basic mechanical equipment
such as hand tools and measuring devices. Makes recommendations to
management with respect to product and process improvements
Maintains productivity standards Prepares all metal hoses to
specified requirements noted in the Work Order Ensure all equipment
is maintained and safely operating before performing any work
Submit all completed work to the welders per instruction from
Production Manager Maintain all shop locations in a neat, clean and
orderly fashion Must sign off on In-Process Inspection Report.
Assists with physical inventory Performs other related duties as
required Skills and Abilities Possess excellent motivation to
meet/exceed customer requirements Ability to read and understand
Work Orders and Job Sheets. Requires proficiency in math skills
including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in
units of measure. Additionally, must be able to perform
calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Basic
mechanical skills including the use of hand tools. Ability to
operate or learn to operate basic machinery as well as more
advanced machinery such as all winding machines. Minimum
Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age High school
diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an
equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance
experience Reliable transportation is a must Must be able to work
independently 1-2 years of experience in an industrial or
manufacturing setting Ability to interact professionally with all
employees and customers Ability to work overtime, as required
Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50 lbs
independently on a repeated basis Ability to consistently move
throughout facility and customers during the full workday Ability
to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Must have a
mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn about how our products
are produced on equipment Basic Microsoft Excel skills Basic math
skills Properly measure with a tape measure Preferred
Qualifications 3+ years of production experience in an industrial
or manufacturing setting Requires excellent verbal and written
communications skills Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion
skills Requires ability to organize and prioritize workload and be
able to interact effectively with all types of people in a dynamic
