Job Title: Special Procedures Technologist Profession: Special Procedures Technologist Specialty: Special Procedures Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year in interventional radiology License: State Radiology Technologist License Certifications: ARRT, Vascular Interventional Radiography (must obtain within 18 months), BLS Must-Have: - ARRT (VI) preferred - KY license - IR experience - PICC/Central Line management - Procedural sedation Description: This role includes involvement in interventional radiology procedures. Procedures performed include port placements, PICC insertions, G tubes, and nephrostomy/biliary tubes. Additional responsibilities involve kyphoplasty and therasphere procedures. The technologist will support both inpatient and outpatient services. Common equipment utilized includes Philips and Siemens imaging systems. BLS certification and state radiology technologist license are required. Experience in procedural sedation is necessary for this position. The schedule includes one night call per week and every fourth weekend.
